Crystal Miller went to the Columbine High School library on April 20, 1999 not knowing that the next 7 ½ minutes would change her life forever.

Twenty years after the school shooting that stole the innocence of an entire generation, Crystal will close out CrimeCon 2019 with her story of fear, survival, and, ultimately, of triumph.

From the events of that day, huddled under a table with a classmate who said he’d take a bullet for her, to the years of nightmares and survivor’s guilt that followed, Crystal will take attendees through it all and answer your questions openly and honestly.

(If you have a question for Crystal please email it to us in advance at: questions@crimecon.com using subject: Crystal).

Crystal’s ultimate message: that despite the inevitable suffering we will all face in life, we can always choose hope over fear, is one that applies to almost every true crime story we read, watch, listen to, or are somehow involved in. That makes her the perfect way for thousands of us to close out CC19 and look ahead to CC20: optimistic, resolute, and determined to fight for victims, for justice, and for ourselves.
