When 48 Hours correspondent Maureen Maher first met Darryl Pinkins he was in prison for a crime he claimed he did not commit. Maher says she had met a lot of prisoners who claimed to be innocent but Pinkins was different.

Maureen Maher and 48 Hours producer Judy Rybak were there to see Darryl Pinkins released from prison on April 25, 2016. They watched as the District Attorney, who had fought for 25 years to keep him behind bars, apologized and told Maureen that he was wrong. Then, weeks later, the call came that Darryl’s co-defendant Roosevelt Glenn had been exonerated as well. Glenn had served 17 years behind bars.

How did it get to that? When Maureen sat down to interview retired Detective Mike Solan about the role he played in sending two innocent men to prison she wasn’t expecting a fight, but that’s what she got. Despite the fact that both men’s names had been cleared Solan still thought he was right -- and Maureen was forced to push him for answers.

Come hear Maureen, Darryl and Roosevelt share their personal experiences and observations of this history-making case, and get inside information about Maureen’s interviews with the people who put these men behind bars.
