Roosevelt Glenn

Roosevelt Glenn is a resident of Indiana who advocated for improvements to Indiana’s compensation law, passed in May 2019. Mr. Glenn was exonerated in 2017 through the work of the Indiana University Wrongful Conviction Clinic. After serving 17 years in prison, 1 year on parole and 8 years as a registered violent sex predator, his conviction was vacated at the request of the prosecution and the case was dismissed. Mr. Glenn is the author of the self-published biography, “Innocent Nightmare” and his story was also featured on CBS 48 Hours called, "Guilty Until Proven Innocent". Prior to his wrongful conviction, Mr. Glenn was a steelworker where he was one of the youngest African Americans in his department and a member of Teamsters Union Local 142. He has been a featured speaker on multiple panels and has offered public testimony before the Indiana State Senate. Roosevelt is from Gary, Indiana who now resides in East Chicago, Indiana with his wife Loreen.
